Portrait of George Borrow

Wild Wales with an introduction by Hugh Olliff

In 1854 George Borrow and his family had a long holiday in Wales, with George walking the length and breadth of Wales.  Wild Wales is Borrow’s account of the people he met, their Welsh language and literature, and the scenery he saw.  It’s generally regarded as a classic of travel writing.

Hugh Olliff has retraced George Borrow’s journey (in his book On Borrow’s Trail) and is excellently placed to introduce Wild Wales in this edition.

The book is a print-on-demand book and can be obtained from The Long Riders’ Guild Press.
